One of the key challenges in liver echinococcosis surgery is the optimal management of residual cavities, particularly in terms of antiparasitic efficacy and acceleration of fibrous capsule obliteration. This study presents the results of echinococcectomy using a novel approach for treating residual cavities lined by an elastic fibrous capsule that collapses after parasite removal. The proposed method includes laser irradiation for cavity sterilisation and prevention of infection, combined with the application of the haemostatic agent "HEMOBEN". These interventions promote local haemostasis, lymphostasis, microbiliary sealing, and enhanced obliteration of the fibrous capsule during suturing or vacuum drainage. This technique could serve as an alternative to pericystectomy and liver resection.
